I recently came across an amazing mobile app called Be My Eyes that's making a huge difference in the lives of visually impaired individuals.

This app connects sighted volunteers with visually impaired users through video calls, allowing volunteers to assist with various tasks in real-time.

What's great is that as a volunteer, you can help whenever you have a spare moment, and the app notifies you when someone needs assistance.

I've personally had a rewarding experience using the app, as I've been able to help people with everyday tasks like reading expiration dates on medicines, deciphering utility bills, reading measurements from a weight scale and identifying clothing colours. It's heartwarming to know that small efforts like these can significantly impact someone's day.

Be My Eyes isn't just about individual interactions – it's building a global community of helpers and promoting empathy and inclusion. With over 7,8 million volunteers supporting more than 700,000 visually impaired users across 150+ countries, the impact of this app is truly remarkable.
